In CSIA, various kinds of after-school programs are established for students. Students can freely take classes after school of their choosing, using the three hours of evening self-study time. Classes are held in classrooms and special rooms for after-school classes. There are a total of 56 after-school classes opened in the second semester of this year, but if there are less than five students enrolled, the class may be closed in consultation with the students.
There are many different types of after-school courses available, including classes that can supplement or add to school classes, classes that can help students enjoy arts and physical education activities, prepare for high school, and classes that can help with personal study. Various after-school classes can help students review and further study what they learn in school lessons, such as math, English, science, Korean, Spanish, and social studies, psychology after-school classes, and arts and physical education classes where they learn archery, taekwondo, and Korean dance so that students can spend their self-study time in a more varied way than just studying on their own.
These after-school classes in CSIA are very beneficial to students in many aspects. First and foremost, students can review what they learned in class and study more in-depth through after-school courses. Even though they did not fully understand in class, they can make up for it by interacting more closely with their teachers through after-school classes. Also, if they are interested in the content covered in class, they can have the opportunity to study more intensified subjects that are not covered in regular classes.
Next, students can explore their interests through after-school classes. In addition to regular after-school classes related to Korean, English, and math, there are other classes that students can take according to their interests, such as psychology, human anatomy, and computer science. Through these classes, students can investigate more about their interests and participate in career-related activities that bring them closer to their dreams.
Finally, students can take time to do their hobbies during after-school classes. Through after-school arts and physical education classes such as archery, taekwondo, and Korean dance, students can enjoy healthy hobbies and end the day by exercising with friends after school. Like this, students can use their study hall time more plentiful by taking after-school classes.
