Around December, when winter was approaching, a very special event was held at Cheongshim International Academy; a 1 person, 1 instrument recital! At the recital held on November 29th and December 6th, students played the instruments they practiced for a year in front of the entire school. It was the time for students to unfold their dreams and talents. From now on, let’s take a closer look at CSIA one-person, one-instrument recital.
First of all, what instruments were played at the recital? Following the opening piano, there were violin, cello, flute, clarinet, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, drum, and Haegeum performances, and the rock band decorated the finale. Although students were nervous, they all played their instruments to the best of their ability, and as a result, the recital was able to proceed and conclude well.
But did you know that there were students who sweated behind the scenes to make the recital run smoothly? At this recital, the efforts of the planning department members, among many student council departments, stood up. Planning department members arranged stage settings such as chairs, music stands, microphones, etc, and were in charge of controlling the overall condition of the stage, including keeping the waiting room and audience seats quiet. One of the students in the planning department said, “Although it was not so easy to be responsible for almost all aspects of the event, I was proud and meaningful because the audiences including students, teachers, and parents seemed to have enjoyed the recital.”
The recital was able to conclude successfully thanks to the hard work and efforts of a lot of students. So what do the students feel after playing and appreciating the instruments at the recital? One of the students in Ms 2 said, “I would like to applaud my friends who must have been nervous but did their best. Above all, I was impressed by the fact that the students themselves took the lead in organizing this large-scale school event.” As the students took the lead well and harmoniously created this recital, we look forward to the 2024 one-person, one-instrument recital next year.
