A new semester has started! With new students eagerly looking around, older students hurrying to meet their friends, and the teachers bustling around to keep order, the school is full of life. Aside from the entrance ceremony hosted on March 4th, there is another big event: the school clubs. Cheongshim International Academy has various clubs on specific topics, which include laws, international issues, computers, music, and art. Students form clubs related to their goals or hobbies or join already-made groups.

As the first week started, we could see seniors rushing around the 1st-grade corridors to promote their unique and diverse clubs. When they came in, the freshmen listened attentively to their speeches and rushed out excitedly to sign up for these groups. The seniors talked about their activities, the kind of person they seek, and the benefits of joining their club.

Soon afterward, the first-grade students could be seen waiting nervously outside the seminar rooms, pacing up and down the corridor until the interviewers called them in. Some clubs do not have interviews, but others have them, or even essays. Some of the first graders said their minds were going blank during the interview and thus could not reply properly; others said they immensely enjoyed it.

By joining various clubs, the students will hopefully be able to achieve their dreams and aim further while also having some fun. Working with older students will help the first graders with their studies and goals. Through interesting activities that they cannot experience easily, they will be able to have a wider view of the world.
